The short version

Toothachey holds two kinds of information and treats them differently. From subscribers we hold a work email, a company, and the territories paid for. About dental practices we publish public, business-level facts with a link to the public record they came from. We hold no patient information and no consumer personal data of any kind.

What we collect from you

  • Name, work email, company, and role, when you request a sample or subscribe.
  • The states you subscribe to, and the files we sent you.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
  • Basic delivery metrics on emails we send you, so we can tell whether the file arrived. No tracking pixel is used in the file itself.

What we do with it

We use it to send you the thing you asked for and to bill you. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber lists. Who subscribes, and to which territory, is never disclosed to another subscriber or to anyone else.

What we publish about practices

Business-level facts about dental businesses, drawn from public records: state dental board records, business filings, broker listings, the practice’s own website, public job postings, and aggregate public review counts and ratings. Every row we ship carries a link to the record it came from.

We do not collect, hold, process, or sell patient information in any form, and we never touch a system that holds it. We do not collect consumer personal data, personal home addresses, or personal mobile numbers. We do not take anything from behind a login or a paywall.

Practices and corrections

If you are a dental practice and a row about you is inaccurate, write to corrections@toothachey.com with the row and what is wrong with it. We check it against the source. If the source does not support the row, we mark it unverified and it stops circulating.

Email

Every message we send carries a real sender name, a real physical mailing address, and a working one-click unsubscribe. Opt-outs are honored immediately. A suppressed address is never re-enrolled in any campaign.

Retention

Subscriber records are kept while the subscription is active and for twelve months afterwards for accounting. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will, minus what we are required to keep for tax records.
